The idea for Egotrip originated because of my husband’s desire to wear bowties to work. However, the available bowties on the market were traditional and lacked individuality.  He also discovered that he frequently wore the same bowties as his colleagues because they all bought them from the same stores that offered limited choices. He did not want to blend in and wanted to be unique and make a statement, and he wanted his wardrobe to be as strong, unique,  and vibrant as he was. Initially, the first bow ties were crafted as holiday gifts for my husband. Unbeknownst to him, he became my walking billboard and the start of the company.

Laser engraving and product design were added to fulfill a need for my husband’s military unit. We wanted to provide quality awards and gifts for deserving service members in our unit. Patches were digitized and used for awards and gifts like commemorative keepsake boxes, insulated cups, and glassware. Award tokens for excellence in PT were burned and distributed. Today, this area includes awards, gifts, and custom products.

I’m a military spouse and a techy person at heart. Years later, we were able to combine my creativity, techygeekness, and entrepreneurial spirit to officially launch EGOTRIP in 2025.
